Ready and waiting: Our 25,000 immunizers are prepared for this year’s flu shot season.
Walgreens and Take Care Clinic healthcare professionals provided 5.4 million seasonal flu shots and 2 million H1N1 vaccines over the 2009-2010 flu season. That's a lot of prevented sniffles and sick days.
This year, Walgreens is hoping to help even more people avoid the aches and pains of seasonal influenza through a ramped-up flu shot campaign. Our stores are increasing their immunizing hours from six hours a day to 12 hours a day, seven days a week, for sixteen weeks. Walgreens' ability to offer such thorough coverage of flu and pneumonia shots is possible because of our very dedicated team of 25,000 immunizers.
We’re hoping people will not only protect themselves this season with a seasonal influenza immunization, but also send a flu shot gift card to someone else. As we say at Walgreens, "Get a flu shot for the ones you love" – and then give those you love a flu shot gift card so they can do the same for someone else.
